La secretaria de Igualdad del PSOE, Maribel Montaño, aseguró hoy que la castración química para los pedófilos condenados que mantengan su peligrosidad al salir de prisión, como propone el presidente francés, Nicolás Sarkozy, sería inconstitucional en España.
Montaño declaró a Servimedia que "la Constitución Española ampara el valor de la política penitenciaria es la de la reinserción del preso".
"Evidentemente", añadió, "ir a un cumplimiento íntegro de las penas, que eso lo tenemos previsto en nuestro país en el caso del terrorismo, o ir a una castración química de manera generalizada, evidentemente es una sobrepena que entendemos que va en contra de la Constitución".
No obstante, Montaño no descartó la posibilidad de aplicar la castración química "con informes médicos correspondientes y a propia petición del agresor. En esos casos exepcionalmente la admitiríamos".
Finalmente, la dirigente socialista destacó que "no creemos que en España vaya a haber una dirección de trabajo en relación con castrar químicamente a todos los condenados por pederastia".
